Esten Cooper, 76, of Scott City, passed away September 7, 2026, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO. He was born June 16, 1950, in Sturdivant, MO, the son of Ivan and Emma Ray Cooper.
Esten had worked as a factory sewing machine mechanic at Columbia Sportswear in Chaffee and Mad Hatter in Oran. He believed in the General Baptist faith. He enjoyed spending time at the racetrack, hunting, and fishing.
Survivors include: a daughter, Mamie (Erik) Hargrave of Benton, a brother, Larry Cooper of Bloomfield, and a granddaughter, Addison Hargrave.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Dusty Cooper.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Rock Point Cemetery in Swinton, MO.
