Jerry Wayne Hamlin, 83, was born on September 23, 1939, near Sturdivant, MO, and passed into the arms of his Savior on March 1, 2023, at his home near Advance, MO. He was the son of the late Paul Hamlin and Mary Moore Hamlin.

Jerry worked for many years as the proprietor of Jerrys Upholstery Shop in Advance, MO. He was well known for his outstanding upholstery work on furniture and car interiors. He was also a school bus driver for the Advance R-IV School District for 46 school years. He was a Christian man known for his faith in God, honesty, and hard work.

On July 5, 1958, Jerry married his Sunshine, Patsy Jean Bruce. They enjoyed almost 62 years of love, laughter, and family before her passing on April 26, 2020.

Jerry is survived by five children: Jeannie (Eddie) Cato Tressa (Paul) Barr Paula (Bradley) Robison Jonna (Jesse) Beal and Bruce (Ronda) Hamlin. He is also survived by ten grandchildren: Bailey (Josh) Czupryk Andrew (Elyce) Cato Hannah Barr Ethan Barr Garrett (Sara) Robison Joshua (Lydia) Robison Erin Robison Jonathan Beal Jessica (Michael) Bowling Jennifer (Hudson) Powers and three great-grandchildren, Grayson Czupryk, Layla Robison, and Harrison Cato. Other survivors include three siblings: Bill (Gloria) Hamlin Mikel (Carol) Hamlin and Pam (Alan) Brenker along with a host of nieces, nephews, school bus riders, and other friends and family.

Besides his wife, Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, seven siblings, and a granddaughter, Katie Jean Barr.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 5, 2023, at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance, beginning at 11:00 a.m. with a funeral service, led by Reverend Ronnie McAtee, to follow at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be in Morgan Memorial Park in Advance, MO.
