Cheryl S. Bond, 76, of St. Robert, Mo, passed away September 15, 2026, at Mercy Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO. She was born June 30, 1950, in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of Lonnie C. and Esther G. Spinner Bond.
Cheryl was raised in St. Louis. She was a 1968 graduate of Ritenow High School. The day after graduation she began her 42-year career working for the U.S. Government. Her career began as a file clerk for the records department. She spent 14 years of her career working in Washington, DC as a management analyst for the U.S. Army. In 1998 she began working at Fort Leonardwood and finished her career with the military police in 2008. Cheryl enjoyed her fulfilling career.
Cheryl was the happiest when surrounded by people, whether it was family, friends, coworkers, or neighbors. She had a gift for making others feel welcome and enjoyed sharing her time with those she loved. She was a talented quilter who created many beautiful quilts and took pride in her work. Cheryl also loved staying active and especially enjoyed exercising and spending time in her garden. She had a special place in her heart for children and cherished the time she spent with them, whether playing games, laughing, or simply enjoying their company.
Survivors include: two brothers, Lonnie K. Bond of Florissant, MO and Kevin J. Bond of Blue Springs, MO, two sisters, Angela D. Ruckle of Kirkwood, MO and Robyn A. Middleton of Advance, MO, several nieces, nephews, great- nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Linda J. Bond and Lisa A. Bond.
Cheryls family is planning a celebration of life and details will be shared at a later date.
