Julie Matheney, 88, of Bell City, Mo, passed away September 2, 2025, at St Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born July 5, 1937, in Anderson County, TN, the daughter of Christal F. Osborne and Ruby Wampler.
Julie was a homemaker. She loved to go bowling, she was a great cook especially her biscuits and gravy and cornbread. She loved to work outside and had a green thumb. Julie loved her family dearly. She had a ton of friends and was loved by so many.
Julie And J.C. Matheney were united in marriage, he preceded her in death on May 21, 1995.
Survivors include, 4 sons, Sam Patterson of Sikeston, Randy Patterson of Dexter, Ed Dembowski of Bell City, Robert Matheney of Marble Hill, 5 daughters, Sandra Haines of Brunswick, OH, Angela Rice of Hillsborough, NC, Patti Daniels of Bell City, Robin Payne of Elyria, OH, Jamie Delisle of Columbia Station, OH, a brother Ronnie Osborne of Clinton, TN and 34 grandchildren and too many great and great-great-grandchildren to count.
She was preceded in death by 3 sister, 3 brothers, her parents and 2 grandsons.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 7, 2025, from 5 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held Monday, September 8, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Morgan Funeral Chapel with Rev. Mike Lee officiating. Burial will follow at Morgan Memorial Park.
