Amy Sue Dorris, 47, of Gipsy, passed away July 27, 2025, in Cape Girardeau. She was born June 19, 1978, in Alton, IL, the daughter of George Allen and Deborah LuAnn Barr Rinkel.
Amy had been the owner of a carpet business. She had attended nursing school. She also worked at the Marble Hill hat factory.
Amy was a devoted mother, opinionated, a free spirit who always spoke her mind. She was an avid rock collector. A huge Harley Davidson fan who loved riding motorcycles. She enjoyed being outdoors and loved a campfire.
Amy and Charles Graves were united in marriage, and he preceded her in death. She later married Jesse Dorris.
Survivors include: her mother, Deborah Barr of Gipsy, two daughters, Jeanette Graves of Cuba, MO and Katie Roberson of Gipsy, a grandson, Daniel, and a brother, Steven Rinkel of OFallon, MO.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. at the chapel. A dinner will be held at Corinth Church Co. Rd. 503 Hwy. P Lowndes, MO at 12:30 p.m.
