Johnny Jackson, 69, of Zalma, passed away January 21, 2025, at his home. He was born November 10, 1955, in Granite City, Illinois, the son of Oliver F. Jackson and Opal Christine Davis.
Johnny worked as a truck driver for Prairie Farms for over 20 years, He was also a member at Randles General Baptist Church, where he taught Sunday school. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and serving in the Vietnam War.
Johnny and Ruth Ann Dunavent were united in marriage on February 21, 1979, in Granite City, IL and she survives of the home.
Survivors include: his wife, Ruth Jackson, one stepson, Daniel strong of Piedmont, a brother, Lonnie Jackson of Granite City, IL, a sister, Faye Buscami of Granite City, IL, two grandchildren, Blake Strong and Tabitha Strong.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Jimmy Jackson and Charles Jackson, and one sister Martha McGee.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday January 28, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Randles General Baptist Church in Randles. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the Church with Rev. Leeman Shirrell and Rev. Roger Overby officiating. Burial will follow at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, MO.
