Ronald Gene McRoy, 75, of Bloomfield, MO, passed away July 7, 2021 at Southeast Health in Dexter, MO. He was born January 17, 1946 in Bloomfield, the son of Harvey and Martha Jennings McRoy.
Ronald was a member of the Cape Girardeau Local Laborers Union #1104 from 1968-2005 he had served as a Sergeant in Arms. He worked countless construction jobs as a grade engineer. He enjoyed gardening and reading more books than you could count. He never met a stranger and spoke to everyone.
Ronald and Linda Sue Cooper were united in marriage on June 1, 1964 in Bloomfield, MO and she survives of the home.
Survivors include: his wife, Linda McRoy a son Ronald Dewayne (Susie) McRoy of Poplar Bluff and a sister, Geraldine Harris of Bloomfield.
He was preceded in death by his parents his mother and father-in-law five sisters, Welma Handley, Eileen Crowe, Velma Kingree, Virginia Hendricks and Vivian Patterson and four brothers, Calvin McRoy, Sonny McRoy, HM McRoy and Don McRoy.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 9, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Gary Cooper officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery near Swinton, MO.
