Donna Jean Delay, 71, of Advance, MO, passed away at St. Francis Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO on March 22, 2026. She was born November 29, 1954, in Advance, MO, the daughter of Shirley Hawkins and Omega Long.
Donna worked at the Advance Nursing Home and other various jobs in the area but her longest employment was at the Juvenile Office in Bloomfield, MO. She was a member of Brownwood General Baptist Church and The Eastern Star in Advance, MO.
Donna and Gary Delay were united in marriage on July 24, 1976 in Brownwood, MO and he survives the home.
Survivors include: her husband, Gary Delay, a son, Tim Delay of Sturdivant, MO, two brothers, Keith Hawkins of Iowa, Kevin Hawkins of Painton, MO, a sister, Debbie Hays of Advance, MO and two grandchildren Lilley and Owen.
She was proceeded in death by her parents and two brothers, Terry Hawkins and Larry Hawkins.
Services will be held at Morgan Funeral Chapel on Thursday March 26, 2026. The visitation will be 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Funeral at 11:00 am. Anna Delay will be officiating the service. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
