Wanda Lou Bishop, 83, of Advance, Missouri, passed away Wednesday morning, January 15, 2025, at Prairie View Nursing Home. She was born July 5,1941 in Advance, the daughter of Lawrence and Ruth Ramsey James.
Wanda worked at Overturf Pharmacy in Dexter for 28 years. She was a long-time member of Union Grove Church in Bloomfield. She was very involved in her church and enjoyed being a Sunday School teacher. She enjoyed spending time working in her garden and tending to her flowers.
Wanda and Thomas Bishop were united in marriage in 1975, he preceded her in death on November 30, 1996.
Survivors include: two daughters, Sherry (Steve) Limbaugh of Advance and Donna Tidwell of Advance, a brother, Sonny James of Malden, three sisters, Doris Langston, JoAnn Graham, and Joyce Kelley, all of Bloomfield, three grandchildren, Shelly Hawkins, Tasha Schilli, and Levi Limbaugh, seven great-grandchildren, Jaden Roper, Chloe Roper, Wyatt Rosenquest, Jack Rosenquest, Ivy Schilli, Gavin Jones, and Karston Schilli.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. at the chapel with Rev. Tony Cookson officiating. Burial will follow at Rock Point Cemetery near Bloomfield.
