Jerris Lou Painton, 89, of Painton, MO, passed peacefully into Gods loving embrace September 13, 2022 at the Westfield Nursing Center in Sikeston, MO. She was born February 5, 1933 in Bertrand, MO, the only daughter of Leonard and Pauline Dye Green.
Jerris was a graduate of Bell City High School she was the class of 1950 Salutatorian. She had worked as the Postmaster at Painton.
On November 11, 1952 she was united in marriage to her soul mate and lifelong love, Albert Marcus Painton.
Jerris faithfully served the Lord as a member of the Bell City United Methodist Church. She played the piano, served on various committees and was a member of UMW.
Survivors include: her husband, Albert Painton, Sr. of the home children, Polly (Joe) Deck of Glen Allen, Kathryn (Rick) Boston of Painton and Albert M. (Sherry) Painton, Jr. of Painton grandchildren, Ashley E. Painton of Painton, Amber N. Deck of Jackson, Nickolas J. Deck of Cape Girardeau and Newton Daniels of Advance great-grandchildren, Kinley Beard and Brielle Becker.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Winford Green and Bill Green.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Friday, September 16, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield. Rev. George Rendleman will officiate.
